My name is Jody, and I\u2019m directionally-challenged.<\/p>\n

Yeah, I get lost. A lot.<\/p>\n

I pretty much always <\/em>have to allow an extra 30 minutes when I\u2019m heading out because I\u2019ll inevitably find myself\u2026, well, not <\/em>where I\u2019m supposed to be. And it\u2019s not that I\u2019m really bad with directions. I just get sidetracked. In the car, I\u2019ll listen to the radio, tell my husband about something funny that happened at work, listen to an audiobook, think about what I\u2019m making for dinner tonight\u2026and before you know it, I\u2019m wondering, \u201cWait. Where <\/em>was I going?\u201d It\u2019s easy to lose track of where we\u2019re headed, isn\u2019t it?<\/p>\n

That\u2019s why we\u2019re so excited about what kids will take away from Maker Fun Factory<\/a>. Of course, they\u2019ll make friends, create crazy games, design their own snacks, and discover the excitement of the Bible. But they\u2019ll also realize that God has a specific, important, meaningful, intentionally-designed plan for their lives. Life isn\u2019t just a carefree journey\u2014it has significance. I <\/em>have significance! I\u2019m here because God has great plans for me!<\/p>\n

That\u2019s transforming!<\/p>\n

It’s true that in one short week kids may not discover God\u2019s precise purpose for their lives (most of us adults are still working that one out for ourselves). But you\u2019ll affirm kids that they matter, because their Creator designed them with a purpose and plan in mind. What an affirming, life-changing truth!<\/p>\n

Imagine that for just a second: VBS kids all over the world<\/em> living with the awareness that they matter, because God has a purpose for their lives.<\/p>\n

Wow.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re praying for those kids. We\u2019re asking God to prepare their hearts to receive such a powerful truth. Daily we ask God to send just the right kids to your VBS\u2014the kids who so desperately need to know that they matter. This is big, people!
