If you’re trying to\u00a0involve more people in ministry, consider if\u00a0your\u00a0core values reflect an equipping culture. Churches that have a higher\u00a0percentage of people\u00a0involved in serving,\u00a0demonstrate these values:<\/p>\n

Prayer
\n<\/strong>The equipping church recognizes the inherent value of prayer to discern God\u2019s vision, leadership, and plan toward an equipping ministry model. Church leaders rely on prayer to see God in all aspects of their ministry.<\/p>\n

The Priesthood of All Believers
\n<\/strong>The church embraces people holistically in the discovery of gifts, needs, and God\u2019s calling. The church seeks to equip people for ministry in the family, the church, the community, and the world.<\/p>\n

Servant Leadership
\n<\/strong>Leaders demonstrate genuine humility, authenticity, accountability, and genuine care of people, as they equip others to use their gifts in the body of Christ.<\/p>\n

Team Ministry
\n<\/strong>Healthy community and teams are built around the individuality of gifts, team accountability, and willingness of people to work for the good of the greater body.<\/p>\n

Intentionality
\n<\/strong>The church embraces equipping ministry as a value and models it through the intentional implementation of systems to prepare, connect, and equip people for ministry inside and outside the walls of the church. Leaders understand their role to equip rather than ‘do’.<\/p>\n

Proactive Toward Change
\n<\/strong>The church recognizes and embraces the organic characteristic of change and responds creatively and proactively to shifts in culture. The church continually changes its methods, but maintains the consistent message of God\u2019s Word.<\/p>\n
