Think those carefree kids in your community don\u2019t have struggles? <\/strong>Think again. Kids struggle with succeeding at school, choosing right from wrong, and understanding why parents fight or divorce. They wrestle with tough questions about God, life, and the future. Family relationships can be a struggle, especially for older elementary kids who may not like their parents\u2019 rules for technology. Even young children struggle with things like discipline, mastering new skills, and finding the balance between exerting their independence and relying on parents for help.<\/p>\n

On day 4 at Shipwrecked VBS<\/a>, kids learn that when you struggle…Jesus rescues<\/strong>. This is a Bible Point that every <\/em>kid connects with! The best part? No matter what issues kids are working through, Jesus rescues them from struggle by providing comfort, guidance, and reassurance every step of the way.<\/p>\n

At Shipwrecked<\/a>, kids don\u2019t just hear about the Jesus as a guy in the Bible, they discover that Jesus is active in our lives today! <\/em><\/strong>One standout moment at our field test was when crews held a unique piece of sea glass\u2014a beautiful piece of glass that\u2019s been shaped and polished by its \u201cstruggle\u201d in the sea. Then leaders shared a specific time when God shaped them through a struggle. This vulnerability\u2014from a grown-up\u2014spoke volumes <\/em>to kids! Later, leaders told us that they saw \u201clight bulbs\u201d go on as kids made those real life connections to their own struggles, realizing that don\u2019t face these battles alone. They saw that that God can bring beauty and healing from hard times<\/strong>, and that Jesus is with them during every struggle.<\/strong><\/p>\n
