Laughter, faith-building experiences, friendship, and heart-moving moments. It\u2019s also filled with some expense. Whether you\u2019re a DIYer or you prefer to buy pre-packaged resources, putting on a VBS event can put a dent in the church budget. Here are some fundraising ideas that can stretch your budget and help you create the VBS week of your dreams![\/vc_column_text][vc_video link=&#8221;https:\/\/youtu.be\/idRJ6cB9KN0&#8243;][vc_column_text]<strong>Quick &amp; Easy : <\/strong>You don\u2019t have to put too much effort into these ideas!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Safari Snacks\n<ul>\n<li>Who doesn\u2019t love coffee and a snack before church? Make it easy and set up a themed grab &amp; go breakfast table in your church lobby before and after Sunday services. Here\u2019s how:\n<ul>\n<li>Create a fun table with decorations that tie to your theme. (Download the <a href=\"https:\/\/group.mediafire.com\/download\/rt05wixod74rb4d\/Safari_Snacks_Fundraiser-editable.pdf\/file\">Safari Snacks Table Sign<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>Get breakfast foods that are inexpensive and price them for a profit.<\/li>\n<li>Create cute names for the items you\u2019re selling and write them on these <a href=\"https:\/\/group.mediafire.com\/download\/n63iirza5n1lxby\/Fundraiser_Food_Tags.pdf\/file\">downloadable cards<\/a>. Here are some fun ideas for Roar:\n<ul>\n<li>Donuts: Rhino Rings or Savanna\u2019s Sprinkles<\/li>\n<li>Muffins: Mack\u2019s Muffins<\/li>\n<li>Coffee (we would recommend an African blend): Fully-charged Coffee<\/li>\n<li>Granola &amp; Yogurt: Grrrowlin\u2019 Granola or Zion\u2019s Paw-fait<\/li>\n<li>Pancake or Waffle Station: Pancakes on the Prowl\n<ul>\n<li>You could make this an interactive station where kids (and adults) can decorate their own pancakes with spots or stripes!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>VBS dedicated offering\n<ul>\n<li>Ask your lead pastor if you can dedicate the collection to VBS. You&#8217;ll be amazed at what people have tucked away! You can break the items out by:\n<ul>\n<li>Items you need (check out the <a href=\"https:\/\/vbstools.group.com\/easy-vbs-2019\/master-supply-list-3\/\">Master Supply List<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>Sponsor a child\n<ul>\n<li>break out the cost per kid at VBS and ask people to donate that amount.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Sponsor a crew\n<ul>\n<li>break out the cost per crew at VBS and ask people to donate that amount.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>We&#8217;ve been amazed by the fundraising boards we&#8217;ve seen on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/roarvbs2019\/\">Roar VBS facebook page<\/a>. Check them out below!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Reach out to local businesses\n<ul>\n<li>Local fast food restaurants might have fundraising night options.<\/li>\n<li>Local hardware stores might offer discounted rates on supplies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_gallery interval=&#8221;3&#8243; images=&#8221;33181,33182,33183,33184&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<strong>Maximum Effort : <\/strong>Okay, so these might involve planning another event<em> on top of<\/em> VBS, but you can also count them as publicizing for your VBS, so it\u2019s a win-win!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Parent\u2019s Night Out\n<ul>\n<li>Offer a kid\u2019s night at your church and charge a set fee or request a donation<\/li>\n<li>Provide themed activities\n<ul>\n<li>Show the Lion King<\/li>\n<li>Have a dance party with the Sing &amp; Play Music DVD<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Create themed snacks\n<ul>\n<li>Savanna\u2019s Spots (Caramel Corn)<\/li>\n<li>Animal Crackers<\/li>\n<li>Zebra Cakes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Host an auction or fundraiser event\n<ul>\n<li>One small community hosts an annual dinner to raise money for their VBS. They theme it to match the VBS program and invite the whole community.
