These service activities give kids an opportunity to see how their faith works in real, everyday life. It\u2019s a powerful reinforcement that builds an unshakable faith foundation, because it\u2019s based on their own firsthand experience, hand in hand with Jesus.<\/p>\n

But it\u2019s something the kids have to choose to do on their own, often long after they\u2019ve left your room. So there are likely going to be times when the kids forget, or simply just don\u2019t do it.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t be discouraged if this happens to you. BE BOLD<\/a> focuses on building relationships, not accomplishing tasks.<\/p>\n

So with a smile on your face and a reminder that they\u2019re accepted just as they are, try asking those who didn\u2019t do the Mystery Mission how they might do the one you did. What do they think might happen?<\/p>\n

Staying positive, ask kids why they think they chose not to do the activity. Perhaps there are obstacles you can identify as a group, and then work together to find ways to overcome those obstacles.<\/p>\n

And remember, kids may not all be reporting on the same <\/em>mission. Kids can report on the mission from the last time they came\u2026which could be a week ago, a month ago, or even longer! So invite reports on all different missions, and don\u2019t make kids who haven\u2019t come in a while feel bad they didn\u2019t know about last week\u2019s mission.<\/p>\n

No child should ever feel ashamed for not doing this or any other activity. Since \u201cGod is here, ready to be your friend because you matter,\u201d God can always find a way to help your kids learn and grow through your BE BOLD<\/a> experiences.<\/p>\n

DON\u2019T FORGET: You should be doing the missions, too!
