Every company, team, and even group of friends has terms and phrases unique to them. Sometimes they are used so freely you forget that not everyone may know what you mean. So here\u2019s a list of the top 10 terms every Group curriculum<\/a> user should know. It’ll help you keep up to speed with the lingo\u2026and know what in the world people are talking about!<\/p>\n

  1. R.E.A.L.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    This is Group’s learning philosophy<\/a>. It is incorporated into every curriculum line, resource, and product we produce. (You’ll learn what each letter represents below in the next 2-5!)<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Relational<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Kids become friends as they learn. Every lesson is designed to foster relationships between kids and with kids and the teachers.<\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Experiential<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Kids do more than just listen or read\u2014they experience<\/em> the lessons. This helps them actually remember what they’re hearing each week.<\/p>\n

          \n
        1. Applicable<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Children learn to become doers of God\u2019s Word. They see how lessons apply to their lives today and how to go out and show God’s love to others.<\/p>\n

          1. Learner-Based<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            Every child draws closer to Jesus in their own unique way. So each lesson we create has multiple experiences built in so that kids get the point, no matter how they learn best.<\/p>\n

            1. God Sightings<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              God Sightings teach kids to look for God in their lives every day. It can be a rainbow, a new baby, or even a hug. It’s about learning to find the special things\u2014big and small\u2014God gives us each day.<\/p>\n

              1. Field Test<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                We know our programs work because we test them! Field tests are what we call the testing process where we actually put on an entire lesson or event. This way we know what works, what doesn’t, and what to change before we launch the product over to you.<\/p>\n

                1. Field Test Findings<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                  These are all the little tips and tricks we learn while doing our field test. You’re going to love reading these, because it takes out a few of those growing pains that come with a new experience. For example, we\u2019ve found that glue dots work better that regular glue on craft projects kids want to wear right away. Especially if it’s a headband and you’re putting it in hair. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

                  1. Digital Download Center<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
