How Maker Fun Factory helps kids discover life-changing truth

How Maker Fun Factory helps kids discover life-changing truth

My name is Jody, and I’m directionally-challenged.

Yeah, I get lost. A lot.

I pretty much always have to allow an extra 30 minutes when I’m heading out because I’ll inevitably find myself…, well, not where I’m supposed to be. And it’s not that I’m really bad with directions. I just get sidetracked. In the car, I’ll listen to the radio, tell my husband about something funny that happened at work, listen to an audiobook, think about what I’m making for dinner tonight…and before you know it, I’m wondering, “Wait. Where was I going?” It’s easy to lose track of where we’re headed, isn’t it?

That’s why we’re so excited about what kids will take away from Maker Fun Factory. Of course, they’ll make friends, create crazy games, design their own snacks, and discover the excitement of the Bible. But they’ll also realize that God has a specific, important, meaningful, intentionally-designed plan for their lives. Life isn’t just a carefree journey—it has significance. I have significance! I’m here because God has great plans for me!

That’s transforming!

It’s true that in one short week kids may not discover God’s precise purpose for their lives (most of us adults are still working that one out for ourselves). But you’ll affirm kids that they matter, because their Creator designed them with a purpose and plan in mind. What an affirming, life-changing truth!

Imagine that for just a second: VBS kids all over the world living with the awareness that they matter, because God has a purpose for their lives.

Wow.

We’re praying for those kids. We’re asking God to prepare their hearts to receive such a powerful truth. Daily we ask God to send just the right kids to your VBS—the kids who so desperately need to know that they matter. This is big, people! And we’re so glad you’re along for the journey.
