How to get VBS volunteers in under 90 seconds

How to get VBS volunteers in under 90 seconds

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]You love VBS. You’ve been dreaming up decorations, humming the theme music, and telling all the kids in and outside your ministry about the awesome Bible adventures they’re going to embark on. But there’s one small problem. You have to find enough leaders to actually lead all these kids on these awesome Bible adventures you keep promising. Where to begin?

Recruiting volunteers might seem overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be a long, drawn out process. In fact, you can probably do it in under 90 seconds.

Here’s the secret formula:

  1. Tell them something you’ve noticed about them that’s awesome.
  2. Explain that you have a role in VBS that was made for them.
  3. Share that you’ll be there, why you love serving at VBS, and invite them to join in the fun!

This 90-second relational approach makes people feel valued and lets them see your passion and dedication—it’s hard to say no to that!
