Use These Ideas to Thank Your Volunteers
November 6, 2014 CVDaily Editors

November is upon us, and while many are already deep into Christmas program planning, we urge you to pause and consider this season of Thanksgiving. No matter what latest crisis has captured our attention, we can always thank God for his saving grace. Thanksgiving is also the perfect time to show appreciation to the people on your team who offer up their time and talents to serve in ministry. If you’re looking for inspiration, check out these links for creative ideas to help show your team how much you value them.

  • Explore 61 ways to say “Thanks a Million!” to volunteers in this article from Children’s Ministry Magazine.
  • Peruse Scripture references to use in affirmation notes and tips on how to adopt an attitude of “Thanks-Living” from Church Volunteer Central.
  • Shop for note cards, certificates, and other appreciation gifts on Group.com.

And don’t forget to thank all the people outside your immediate team who make your ministry possible. From the custodian who cleans the floors to the parents who bring their kids to church, you are surrounded by thirsty hearts you can nourish with a kind word or thoughtful note.
